PVR to Laptop (so I can burn a disc)

Hi,

Anyone know if it's possible to copy stuff from my fusion pvr onto my laptop - to save me from having to buy a dvd recorder???

Only if you've got a TV capture card in the lappy. You need something like this which you can get from lots of places

If you have the ability to connect the PVR to your PC directly and transfer files then it can be done. I can't find much info on the Fusion but it is certainly possible with Humax PVRs.. If you do have this connection, Google for the Videolan website and download the player which will recognise and play the files.

If you have no such connection Davet may well be right.

Ta v. much for that....I don't see any obvious 'holes' in my laptop where I could connect it to the PVR, so I guess it's either option 1, or buy the DVD recorder. Have to think about that some more.
