Any way to get g13 calls cheaper?

Hi,
I have a standard BT phone line which I need to keep for work reasons. I have used the call checker and all the advice here to find a 0871 service to call abroad - and it's about 7p per minute. Is there any other service that can cut call costs to 0871 (on the g13 tariff) even further?

    That is the purpose of such gateway numbers - to offer a way of accessing a cheaper route to call specific destinations.

    As such, there are no cheap ways to call a cheap gateway number. BT offers the cheapest rates to call them.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    there are a number of companies that can supply telephony with free calls to various oversea landline locations,maybe look down that avenue?

    But probaly not to more expensive destinations where it costs 7p a minute via an 0871 access number.
