BT - query on my order (not activated yet!)

Help, I have placed an order with BT for line rental purposes, which will be activated next week. I thought I am able to add on any extras before the activation of the line. Can anyone advise me if I am able to do so, then I would like to change the rental to free weekdays and weekends calls. I did ask for only weekends and have found out that i can get the same line rental charges for a bit more. :eek:

You can't have line rental on its own, the Unlimited Weekend Plan comes as standard.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
If you have taken out a 12 month contract,call them and they will change order for you, subject to you agreeing to a 12 month rolling contract for the inclusive evening and weekend calls.
However if you have taken their Free Connection 18 month contract deal,you dont qualify for Inclusive Evening and Weekend Calls,your be charged for them.0 -
This is for an 18month line rental - it has not been activated yet and so i believe i can cancel and re-order so i get the free evenings and free weekend calls. As i still have the option to cancel at least 24 hours before the engineer turns up. Can that be an option - as I am not tied into any contract yet.

Even if you cancel and reorder again your be charged on the 18 month contract.
