Blimey, that would be quite a challenge considering the average fall of nearly 20%.?
Not so much up here in Scotland I'd guess......:D
Just checked the Aberdeen Register of Scotland sold price data on myhouseprice.com.
As of July 2009 (last available data) the average price is £188,002.
The average price in July 2007 was £189,763.
The two year price fall is therefore £1761..... Or around 1%.
Versus a cost of approximately £24,000 to rent the same place for the same time.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

You're a total HPI cheerleader.0 -
I had to plough through reams and reams of losses to dig that one out. Without having a specific town/block to head for, I was randomly typing in places, trying to find: A new build in 2007 that had not been bought by a company or repossessed, that had resold since. Tricky one. You're a total HPI cheerleader.0 -

WHAT A EASY GAME TO PLAY...
i've nominated the above for post of the month to try and get you that £50.
i don't think it will come anywhere close to winning though.0 -
Talking of money - what's your view on investing in property funds rather than actually owning the bricks? Does it make sense over say a 2/3 year period?i've nominated the above for post of the month to try and get you that £50.

if you want a fund manager investing where he wants and making money from you through charges go for it. otherwise do your own research
if you want individual equities go for Primary Health Properties they're pretty cheap at the moment with a decent dividend.0
