You would, but the company may have more than one account. They may have one just to cover their expenses and only keep enough to pay the expenses in it.

It may be that they are expecting to pay out £1000, and are expecting a payment of £1100 from a good customer, so they get them to pay it into the expenses account, to cover their expenses. Unfortunately the customer doesn't do this, for whatever reason, so they don't have enough in the account to cover the cheques they sent out.

Just makes them look unprofessional in my opinion :mad:

Heard of this happening to quite a few other people in the area, so beware before going there to sell your car.
