Some areas may have free compost bins this year. We are anyway - Pembrokeshire. One free compost bin per household!

We got ours delivered this week, im in Norfolk. If you go onto the website it tells you if they are available in your area.

You get the bin £6 which should be about £50 (£4 one available also) a kitchen caddy free (worth about £5) and also biodegradable caddy liners free(worth about £5) all for the price of the reduced bin at just £6. We have been doing some of the garden today to make a corner for it.

The caddy you have in the kitchen to save having to go out to the bin everyday. It comes with a booklet and stickers and magnetic sheet which ive put on my fridge which shows items that are suitable (egg shells, cardboard, peelings, banana skins, tea bags, prunings, etc) and items that are not (weeds, cant think what else without looking).

I think its a great way to recycle .

I clicked through to see if they are doing the scheme in Kent - they are. So how do you go about getting one? It lists all the garden centres at the bottom of the page - do I just go along and ask for one? Not sure what the procedure is.
