To be honest Grinch, all much of a muchness. Is there a rush. I remortgaged online and took about four/five weeks.. If you need it quicker, then pay for a proper conveyancer.
You get what you pay for0 -
who did you use Tassotti? Would you recommend or did you have to chase a fair bit?0

To be honest...for a REMortgage, google it up, quote it up and go for it.
You will normally get the most junior solicitor in the branch, but so what , give them a chance..Its only a remortgage and everyone needs to learn somewhere.
As I said, unless there is a major rush, use these people and let them learn.
Cannot remember who I used..probably the cheapest one...They were okay..
These days..diffedrent story...need good solicitor every time0 -
Grinch, any suitable deals ot there offering to include the conveyancing? When I re-mortgaged last year the lender had a deal with free conveyancing, went thru in 4 weeks, no probs.0

unfortunately, not for my case. I have a good remortgage which is more important than the solicitor's cost to an extent. seen a few quotes from £130 to £150 + vat."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0
