Forgive me if I'm stating the obvious, but are you logged in using the same login account that you were using when you first encrypted the folder?"He who asks questions cannot avoid the answers"0

yeah i only have the one login Ghost.
But i have used a Ghost (haha) image to start a fresh ! do you think this could have upset it ???
Cheers

Make sure you have Admin rights on your account, that could cause it.
(control panel > User accounts)
Also consider booting in Windows Safe mode, log in as the Main Administrator (who only appears in safe mode) then try from here.
If it works, unencrypt it and reboot in normal mode and then try again.0 -

If you are using an image of the OS, and not the EXACT same OS as when you encrypted the files, the decryption key will be different I'm afraid!
There is no way of recovering the files without contacting an authorised microsoft decrypter... they will charge a lot.. so i assume![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
