Re:Channel 4 4OD Catchup Outside UK?

Is it possible to get Channel 4 Video On Demand while outside the U.K
Lots of services advertising on the Net claim to be able to get it but fail?

James

I dont think so due to licence problems although you can use a proxy which may get round it

well if it doesn't work by a proxy then nothing will. They dont want you to see programs outside the UK for obvious reasons :)

Most expats use VPN services to get around regional restrictions:

I don't have first hand experience of using any particular service but hopefully some other people do.

    Thanks

I have my own VPN and proxy server running at home (I travel extensively for work). The main issue s that its not always possible to get enough bandwidth to watch "live". But at least BBC iPLayer allows downloaing for offline watching, so I can download a couple of hours worth of BBC stuff overnight & watch it the following evening. ITV player does not allow this & I don't think Ch4OD does either
