It's been out since the end of May, and I haven't heard many Tales of Horror...! It could take up to an hour to install, with at least one reboot.

Personally i much prefer Vista.. Although i have only been using it on my laptop for about 4 weeks, when i return to my desktop somehow Windows 7 seems antiquated. Maybe its just me...

Windows 7 installation is DVD or electronic download available late October 2009
there will be NO C Formatting of Vista and installation of Windows 7 just a straightforward upgrade on top of your pre existing Vista am I right in saying that?

With the information that Microsoft have provided as to date, yes that would be correct. But only with Vista, nothing earlier!
