#2 son has taken on a local paper round - it's on our street - 161 papers/leaflets, but fortunatly we live almost smack bang in the middle of the street, so he's broken it down into four lots of 40 and does it this way - only done it the once so far, and it took him and his brother 4 hours +.
Ofcourse, the noggin accepted it without asking how much he'll be paid
Can anyone give me any ideas? This week he's delivered the paper, plus the proprty supplement, plus 2 folded A4 leaflets, plus 2 single sheet A4s........

Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

each leaflet may have its own pay structure, son should get the info when the papers get dropped off - if need be, you may have to ring up or go see whoever
i used to do 500 houses (down to 450 i think once i worked out all empty houses), good week was £23, bad week was £12 but im going back 15 years (FLIP that makes me sound old .. gulp)0 -
Standard rate is about £30 per 1000 leafletsMSE allowed me to see the light0

I use to get £10 for the papers and £3-5 more with the leafets depending on how many there were (if any) a week when I did a paper round of about the same size 8 years ago. It use to take my brother and I about 5 hours as well.
Find out how many weeks notice he has to give when he quits - I found out the hard way I had to give 4 weeks.0 -
I know someone who delivers the weekly (paid for) local newspaper. He gets £9 for 47 houses. Don't know how long it takes.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

My son delivers the local free paper, he deliveres almost 350 papers and gets £7.50 and if there is the same amounts of leaflets he gets an extra £1.20 for these! He has only had leaflets once, his round takes him between 3 and 4 hours as it incorporates 3 scemes and one main street, delivering to every house. I think its hellishly low.:mad:I Can resist everything, except Temptation x:o0
