Collingwood learner insurance..

In addition to driving lessons, I would like to practice in my parent's car. They both have their own insurances, and in order for me to drive it, I would need insurance too. Alot of provisional drivers (and drivers that have recently passed their driving test) have recommended 'Collingwood learner insurance' to me, as they offer temporary insurance (1 month) to provisional drivers at about £96.50 (or the other option is 84 days but that's obviously more expensive).
My dad however believes there's a catch to such a low price, and if for example, I do run the car into a tree or something, then proceed to make a claim with Collingwoods; they would find loopholes around the matter and say it isn't their concern, and ask me to claim through my parent's insurance (and afaik, they haven't touched in terms of making claims etc). My dad wants solid proof that this won't happen, so I've been reading through Collingwood insurance's policy but I've found nothing.
Could someone please advise?
Thank you

There are never guarantees with Insurance.
The Collingwood policy is designed for Provisional Licence Holders and is subject to them being supervised by a person with a full licence who is entitled to supervise a learner driver.
Their policy does not cover you once you pass your test.0 -

It would be unwise of me or anyone to say we can give you solid proof that any Insurer will always pay out a claim as there can be occassions when any Insurer will refuse a claim.0
