2 weeks until term and Homeless - Scared

Hi folks,

In a couple of weeks I enter the 3rd year of my course (Thankfully the final year as I have hated every single second of it) and still don't have a home.

I have had 2 private deals fall through and the university is completely useless and won't help.

Just wondering if any of you good people have any advice as clearly this is not a good position to be in.

Good luck in finding a home and I am going into my third year as well and cannot wait to complete my degree.

Hi, have you tried looking on spareroom.com? The site advertises rooms for lodgers and also lodgers who need rooms so you'll have two avenues. You might not end up in a student house share but that's not the worst thing in the world in your final year (I can recommend it!).

Have you tried Gumtree? If you can find a room with randoms, who knows, you might even make some new friends best of luck!

www.easyroommate.co.uk is another site you could try. I found somewhere 9 days before I was due to become homeless so it IS doable. Find out where the local student letting agencies are, and go ask them. I mean, there's 3 spare rooms in my student flat (in Liverpool) at the moment, 2 in another flat I know of in the building next door, and that's just for starters.
