sacked estate agent - how to pick another?

Its been 2 weeks since any contact with EA and despite a promise to advertise each week for 4 weeks, come week 2 he didnt advertise at all, so I sacked him with 2 weeks notice.
I am in a quandary. Since I live in a small village (one pub and one shop) I can either readvertise with another agent in a small market town 5 miles away (Berkshire) or a larger market town 6 miles away in the other direction (Oxon) or in Newbury, a med size town 10 miles away.
2 of the agents will target Berkshire and the other will advertise in Oxfordshire. Bit stuck really as we are in no mans land!

Is nobody locally selling then? Do any of them use rightmove? I certainly looked online before even thinking of using an EA.0

Do it yourself, cheaper, easier and half the time you end up doing the job of the estate agent so you may as well not pay someone else to do itI run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!:j:j:jNegotiate, Negotiate, and Negotiate again.:j:j:j0

Find an agent that belongs to professional body so that you are more likely to get a professional service and which has a complaints procedure.
