What card to use when spending in New Zealand?

I'm going on my honeymoon to New Zealand in January 2010 and dont really know what cards I'm best using to minimize the amount I'll be charged. I know that the Santander Zero Card doesnt charge for spending abroad but it does charge interest on cash withdrawls. Now as I will need some cash over there but dont want to to be charged the 27.9% interest on it am I best getting the Nationwide Flexaccount instead and putting money into that account to use but if I spend on the card I'll also get charged?
Or should I get both cards, the credit card for spending directly on the card with no fee and the Nationwide account to withdraw cash with no fee?
Any advice?

Use the Santander card to minimise the cost of spending.

You will (currently) be charged a Visa fee of 0.84% for cash withdrawals/transactions in NZ with a Flex Account Visa Debit Card (still a minute charge compared with most other offerings); however, the Flex Cash Card Account's card does not currently attract a fee - see http://www.nationwide.co.uk/current_account/foreigntransactions.htm0
