Getting laptop refurbished - selling to a company etc

Hi, I have a Patriot 6001 laptop which is a few years old but is quite up-to-date (Windows XP) and the only faults are that the port that the charger goes into has came lose (needs fixed or laptop won't charge) and a bit of the casing has broken quite badly (hinge has came through so might need sorted but only really cosmetic).
I have a new Dell one I was bought for my birthday so I either wanted somewhere cheap to get it fixed or somewhere like the equivalent of Envirofone to sell it (if there's somewhere possible). I'd rather these options than ebay due to postage etc but this could be possible?
