Hi
Looking for a laptop for a teenager to do schoolwork on, internet, instant messaging, music and movies (normal teenager stuff), sub £350
Have seen the one below advertised in Currys and quite like the fact it has a built in webcam. What do others think? Is this a good deal or is there any better ones out there? What recommendations do you have, other people have suggested Dell Inspiron 15 (link below as well)
http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/000075
http://www1.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home/Laptops/laptop-inspiron-1545/pd.aspx?refid=laptop-inspiron-1545&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Shaun

Stay away from Celeron processors. Also Dell is a solid build laptop

Refurb or second hand do not last long. My son got one and it only lasted a few months. Best to buy brand new.0

give Novatech a try, they have great laptops for about £300. website is https://www.novatech.co.uk.
Excellent support if things go wrong. As a previous worker for Curry's, they tend to be a waste of time.0 -

There is a world of difference between, say a BigPockets 'years old' Refurb and and one from Argos Clearance Bargains.
These arrive as new, with a twelve month guarantee. If you don't like the look of it, you can send it back.0 -

You have to select a webcam as an extra when purchasing the Dell. The HP 550 doesn't have one.
Just a couple of examples.0 -

It may have been worth mentioning that their £300 laptop has no operating system. But let's not let the truth get in front of a good story.
