hi, I moved into my property last august, and have had nothing but trouble since,
i started on a 6 month agreement, which went fine, then i had to pay another £109. to renew the tenency, again fine, until the rent started going out of my account, but not (apparently to them) which again is fine (except a lot of trouble my end to prove its theyre problem not mine) anyway this is not the point, i was just wondering (my tenency runs out again in december) do i have to stay till the end of december or can i just give a months notice to move? or if i move will i have to continue to pay until the end of the tenency?
thanks in advance

Unless there is a break-clause in your contract or a clause that says you can give a month's notice, then you have a fixed term contract which you breach if you leave before unless the landlord agrees to an early surrender.
If the landlord consents to letting you leave before the end of your tenancy, you can expect to pay any costs associated with the early relet, conditions such as paying for readvertising costs or paying rent up until a new tenant is found and moves in.0 -
why dont you do a 12 month contract with a 6 month breaking clause?.. saves you the renewal fees and also..if after 6 months you want to move you do so.. if after 6 months you dont want to move you just stay quiel on the 5th month... if it pases 5 months and 1 day , the landlord cant kick you and you can stay another 6 months0
