Norwich and Peterborough RS deposits

Just got my passbook for the N&P 5% RS.
Bumf makes mention of deposits in branch and by post - they even enclosed a couple of envelopes to send cheques. How quaint!;)

To save me a phone call, has anyone been paying into one of these via standing order? If so, it is just the sort code and RS account number or is is one where you have to use a general N&P account number and the RS account number as a reference?

    The first suggestion - your account number is sufficient to identify you and should just be shortened see here:
