microsoft spell check. please help dissertation due tomorrow!

on certain parts of my dissertation, spell check doesnt work. If you write a word and spell it wrong, it fails to point it out.

Thesaurus also doesnt work...

however on other paragraphs of the same document it does work!

Please someone help!

Select the entire document (Ctrl+A), then in the Tools menu click Language - Set Language. Make sure that the appropriate language is selected and that 'Do not check spelling or grammar' is not checked and click OK.
