Advice on selling Adams Kids Vouchers on eBay

Hi there.

I have £100 of Adams Kids vouchers which I need to sell somewhere, but I've been looking on eBay and they're not very popular. I would like to make £85 ono. for them but so far I've just seen one lot of £25 vouchers go for £19 so that doesn't really inspire me.

Now I'm not much of a fan of online shopping or selling, but are there any other sites I can sell these on? I've searched Amazon Marketplace but no one sells any vouchers there, and I've seen Ad-Trader but I'm not sure about selling privately - is this safe? I've heard some stories about private sales in the past and they're not all great. Is there any way I can exchange the vouchers for cash at the store?

And with regards to posting the vouchers, I read that Royal Mail do not cover tickets or vouchers in their insurance, but does this also apply to Special Delivery?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you ! :T

I think you'll get on average 80% of what the voucher is worth, so, you'll get £80 roughly. I may be wrong though, I would happily pay £80 for them, but not now, it all depends whos out there.

    Hope that helped,

Thanks for your advice regarding the 80%, MoE! I've advertised on https://www.gumtree.com as well, though I'm a bit wary of that too. And in case anyone's wondering - yes, I did get them from Nectar :)

Why doesn't this inspire you ?

    £25 worth sold for £19

this would equate to £100 selling for £76

It's not that far from your £85 ono is it ?

You have an excellent point, actually! Although I was hoping to get £80 or above, but I'm not one to be greedy, so I guess you're right :)

Can you split them into smaller amounts? I'm thinking that people might buy £25 more willingly than £100

well you could split them, but I think it's more likely you'll gain on a larger amount.

    If you sell 4 x £25 for £19 each you get £76
    But i've seen £50 sell for £41, which would be £3 better off than 2 x 25.
Plus you then have to add the cost of selling the individual items, especially if you're sending them SD
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

The thing with Nectar vouchers is people know they are free to you, I only pay £2.50 per £5 voucher & I've bought loads from ebay. I know others who pay roughly the same as me. Sorry to disappoint but if you advertise them as Nectar vouchers then that's roughly what you'll get, if you advertise them as Adams vouchers & the buyer sees they are Nectar vouchers they might be upset.

I see where you're coming from, but a buyer who did that would really be quite petty. It shouldn't matter where any eBay seller gets his goods from, if they are worth £80.00 to the highest bidder, then he or she should be happy with them regardless of the profit that the seller is making. It's the same for any item sold on eBay.

And I did save up for about a year to get 14,000 points :) so it wasn't "free" exactly!!!

Do you have a friend with children? I recently sold £20 of Nectar Adams vouchers for £15 to my friend who had just had a baby. We were both up a fiver (only worth £10 to me) & she's happy to do it again.
