Moving - new house is with Gas Plus - help

Hi

We are moving next week and when I rang BG to find out who the suppliers are, I was told Gas Plus and Electric Plus. The man at BG said he had never heard of them and neither have I.

On further investigation, it seems they may be part of Utility Warehouse.

How does this work? When we move in, who will be supplying our gas and electric? Will we automatically become customers of UW? If so, how can I avoid this?

Any help will be much appreciated - but please, no debates about the pros and cons of UW (I have seen the 300 odd pages of debate already and don't wish to go there).

Thanks.

  • If the property is currently supplied by UW then they will be your suppliers when you move in. If you wish to change from these then you will need to sort out a switch to a supplier of your choice either directly through who you want to go with or with a switching company.
