do refunds need to go into your account?

Just received confirmation from the Halifax that my hubby has won his hardship case. They want to put this back into his bank account and have sent a form for him to sign. But he now banks with another bank and doesnt want it to go back to the Halifax, what can he do?

    The FOS will agree with Halifax since the charges have come out of that account then it would be right for them to go back into them. Does the amount reduce any amount owing or put that account into credit?

    should it matter for the bank ? it's his money anyway.

    They are paying out as a gesture of goodwill and therefore the bank can decide how they pay out.
