What would people expect to pay for unlimited webspace/bandwidth and emails?

an unlimited amount of money :rotfl:
Seriously though - nobody can sensibly offer that in a form that is actually usable. I could (in theory) offer this from the web server in my house but the biggest issue would be bandwidth (I only have 2Mb upstream). If somebody is offering this, I would look closely at the T&Cs for disclaimers etc, and also look at their reputation, size etcChris Elvin0 -
I use TSOhost for my hosting. Not allowed to post links so google them!!
Support is excellent (phone or web) and service uptime cannot be faulted. Go and have a look at the prices. They offer Windows and Linux hosting for a very low fee. Avoid any hosts that are dirt cheap. I used one in the states which looked excellent and cost next to nothing (6 quid for a year). Support was garbage and in the end the went under.
Have a look at tsohost though!!

there is no such thing as unlimited, its a marketing ploy.
In the web hosting sector its called overselling. The company "sells" more resources than they have. You will generally have a t&c which tells you what your absolute max per month resources are. If you go over your fair usage resources, then your likely to be kicked off the server.
Go for a web host that has the following.
1) a good following with lots of testimonials (peatree, wesh, cnmewmedia are a few)
2) That you know your limits
3) They know the limits of what they can provide
Unlimited servers are normally unreliable as people try to use their unlimited servers and the server gets run to the ground.Silenced by the Gestapo :rotfl:0 -
Not unlimited (which doesn't exist as the above post correctly mentions), Zen are far the best company by a country mile in my experience (I once was on NTL, and they were worse than useless!), but you pay for quality: www.zen.co.uk I'm a very happy personal and business customer.0

Thanks for the info. T&C's state; We offer unlimited web space and un-restricted bandwidth with some account types. By this, we mean unlimited space for legitimate web site content and bandwidth for visitors to view it. All files on a domain must be part of the active website and linked to the site. Sites should not contain any backups, downloads, or other non-web based content
I have looked at Zen and TSO and they offer large packages for say £40 per month and offer 25GB of space and 250GB of bandwidth.0 -

yes but they know our limits too. they will announce as unlimited but they will set some limited space. once we cross that space they will extend a bit.0 -

but a server can only host x amount of data, so to offer unlimited, means they are selling what they don't have
You can pick up hosting from UK hosts from as little as £15 per year, but it depends on how much space / bandwidth/ sql tables etc you want.
I always go for a host that allows me to upgrade my account to the next package if neededSilenced by the Gestapo :rotfl:0 -
