hi, just to say that i've always had to pay the p + p and they are usually quite firm about it...i've a few times got out of it when putting multiple orders in that they've merged the p + p together, but for the most part, they make it quite difficult. good luck trying to convince them to refund it though!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. just thought would add my comments as i used to work there 7 years ago. at that time the postage stood cos it was for postage & packing so was charged whether u returned or not. if they were returned cos faulty, too late due to warehouse delay etc then it could be removed as a gesture of goodwill. if u did an exchange order u basically got the alternative items on the same code u used originally but with no further postage - i.e if your 1st order had £5 off, the exchange would also. u could also add extra items for no further postage. if u had 20% discount off your first order say of 3 items & u exchanged for 5 items u would get the discount off the 1st 3 only as that is how many u were returning. hope that makes sense.
the late charge then was £5 but i believe it has gone up. when i was supervisor if people said the payment was late cos they didn't receive the statement it was removed but i think they are getting more strict & less likely to do this now.
i have ordered from them once since leaving & what a shambles! paid with card with order but they had no trace of either. sent copy statement 3 times & eventually got it refunded when i phoned & asked to speak to supervisor who turned out to be somebody i had trained so she just refunded it - was less than £5 cos had used a code!
hoe that helps.
oh btw la redoute, vertbaudet, empire stores & daxon are all redcats with the same call centre & the same staff.Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0 -
The sizing always seems out to me and I have given up ordering from La Redoute as its such a pain waiting so long for exchange items. Each time I have had to P&P no matter what.0

One reason not to order from catalogues charging postage?
LX Direct do the same, still charge postage even if you return the stuff. So annoying as one of the reasons you order is to try before you buy.
If people didnt order and told them why they might end up changing their charging policy. I only order if I have a code to make it worth while or a decent free gift. And thats not very often.
£3.45 postage and up to 10 days for delivery - what rubbish! The curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile0
