I paid 270 for a home buyer report with an independent surveyor company. I found him on the internet. Just type Surveyor in Googles and there is website give you 4-5 quotes from local surveying company. He is really good and gave me tons of advice, even tell me the estimation of the house next door free of charge!!!

Nationwide charged me 250 for a basic report.
