Reclaiming charges from ASDA credit card?

Hi guys, just been speaking to ASDA finance people today and wanted to speak to the experts to get some honest truthful advice.

I took out an ASDA credit card a year or 2 ago, I've paid it off in full every month since.

Last month I didnt recieve my statement and it must have totally slipped my mind, I called up about 2 weeks late and i'd recieved £20 in charges!!!! Basically they said even though i hadnt recieved my statement it was my fault for not chasing up the bill and the charges will stand.

Can anyone help?? i get the feeling im fighting a losing battle!!!

Ask again and state the same and mention this is the first occasion this has happened. If they say no I would use another credit card and shut the ASDA card down and reclaim the charge using Martin's Guide to reclaiming.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
