Hi everyone
Sorry, I normally post on the shopping boards (!!) but I hope I am posting on the correct board to get the relevant help!
I bought my OH one of "harness sphereing day experience" thingies for his 40th in October last year...I paid the extra so it would be for 2 people...thought he might have a laugh doing it with someone else... anyway..he wanted me to do it with him and suggested we get my mum to have the kids one weekend while we went. sounded great!!
As you probably know, the weather this year hasn't been great... my OH has been working so many hours, it's untrue!!
I came to book the sphering this evening and the voucher expired on 30th June..I am gutted!!! I don't know why, but I really thought it was for 12 months...It cost me £60!!
Have I really lost all that money and is there nothing I can do? ..I know it's my own stupid fault for not reading it properly but we have had so much on the last few months and I honestly thought it would expire in 12 months!

There's a similar thread on the boards about Red Letter Days and the consensus matches my own opinion which is that yes, unfortunately you've lost the money as it's kinda your fault for not reading it and assuming how long you had to book the experience. You could try ringing them up and asking for longer, but it's not exactly their fault you didn't read it properly. Sorry...!0

thanks for your reply.. I know it's my own fault for doing it but how can someone just keep £60??? I am really mad (with myself for not reading it properly!!) and would be more than willing to pay an extra, say £20 to be able to extend...
which board is the red letter days thread on? could you send me a link please?0 -
If it says an expiry date on the paperwork/voucher, then you have no legal leg to stand on unfortunately.
You could try calling them and ask if they will extend the voucher for you, some companies will, others wont...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
