+1 for logmein0

Seconded

The advantage of this over one of the VNC programs is that it works through corporate firewalls.
UltraVNC is a good alternative but you'll need to open ports in the router ...

I Find TeamViewer (http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx) excellent and easy to use0

Yes, another for logmein. If you've got trust issues, you can always use Microsoft's version instead (LiveMesh)0

I know Spytech is good ,it is the latest in high-tech surveillance software that allows you to REMOTELY INSTALL the monitoring software and access the activity logs from ANYWHERE via your own personal Realtime-Spy Remote Spy Software Webspace! No need for remembering IP addresses or directly connecting to the remote PC – All you have to do is point your browser to your own Realtime-Spy!
i hope i could help you0 -

I use CrossLoop, which works transparently through any firewall, corporate or otherwise. But you need to be able to talk to your friend over the phone to set up the connection.
Provided you ignore all the rubbish about putting in emails, creating an account, and getting a helper, and the rest, both persons just start up the software (having installed it at each end, of course), and the person whose screen you will be looking at tells you the random 12-digit number which CrossLoop gives, you type it in, then everyone clicks on Connect, and "Yes, I do want the other person to look at my screen", and then it all works!0 -
I also tried Windows Live Messenger remote desktop control, as nothing needs to be installed if both ends have Live Messenger working, It's clunky to start but works (at least within the home WiFi zone), only I don't know if it works across the internet. An emergency solution of both parties are not in a position to install anything?0
