Google on "wantglasses" and go to the "Blog about everything" result. Lots of disgruntled customers.
Try ringing them up and inviting them to read your post on this forum. That seems to have worked for one person.0 -

Not many people realise this but......
Maestro debit cards aren’t usually covered, except where goods are ordered over the internet aren’t delivered.
Id contact your bank for more information.

This chargeback reason is applicable to e-commerce transactions only. The cardholder’s account has been debited for an e-commerce transaction, but the merchant failed to deliver the goods or services.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

How I wish I had read how appalling wantglasses.co.uk service is before I made my purchase. I too am having problems with my order I placed my order in October and to date have not received my specs.
My order cost £180 and stupid me purchased my order on my debit. I tried calling up the bank (NATWEST) to try and claim my cash back but was told the Maseter Card Guidelines are not part of the bank policy and basically had no luck.
I called trading standards and they said I should send a recorded letter to the company stating that they are in breach of contract for not delivering withing the stated period and they should refund me by a specified date I think is reasonable.
Does anyone have an address for this company as I only have a PO BOX address? I need to send the letter to a postal address. I was advises by money expert that if I do not get a response they will advice me what the next steps are.
Many thanks

Please, please think before you try and buy from this company. I previously used glassesdirect.co.uk and they were professional, fast and the products were great. Wantglasses are not!
For some reason I did not check wantglasses out before orderingUsually I check for reviews before ordering from a new company.
I placed an order for three pairs of glasses. When I contacted them to ask where the order was (after the 28 day maximum delivery time), apparently one of the frames was out of stock but they did not send the rest of the order, which seems odd. An email was apparently sent to tell me, but I did not receive it (?).
I immediately asked for my money back but was told the other pairs were now despatched (all within a couple of hours?!). Since then (about 10 days) there has been no refund for the out of stock pair and the 'despatched' pairs have not arrived. I have sent 3 emails with no reply when they had previously been very prompt before my dissatisfaction was coming across in my emails.
Reeks of a con I am afraidI have a vision that the person behind wantglasses is a little old man putting glasses together in his shed...
On a plus side...I realised how great glassesdirect.co.uk are!0 -
Look up wantglasses postcode in google street view. It's based in a nice bungalow!0

Same for me I'm afraid. Ordered a pair of glasses on 31st May and got absolutely nothing from them (21st June today). They have responded to a couple of my emails blaming their suppliers in Italy but I don't seem to be getting anywhere. You cannot speak to them by phone.
I still have a small amount of faith because at least someone is replying to my emails but we'll have to wait and see.....I'm not very happy.0 -
This is a shame as I'm really happy with the glasses I got from them a couple of years ago. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere for their replacements!
BTW, too old a post now to really help but you can get the address of the owner of a PO Box by writing to the Post Office (or at least you could some years ago).0
