Just to give my experience ... I used my Egg Money card as a mule, and I called them up, and asked for a transfer money from my Egg Money card -> my current account and they gave me cashback on the amount (£5000) to the sum of £50. I didn't try to do this intentionally, but it seems they do this by way of a BACS transfer, and it shows as a purchase on my statement.

I know more and more cards are charging fees these days for transfers, but getting cashback with Egg Money kinda offsets that, doesn't it.
