Microsoft Enterprise 2007 for £35!! Student bargain!

Just found a website selling Microsoft Enterprise 2007 for £35, to eligilbe students until 31st October 2009. Software4Student.co.uk
This version offers 10 seperate programmes instead of the 4 standards that Home and Student 2007 offers.
There is free postage to the UK, but there is a small fee of £1.95 for the transaction. Worth it when you see how much Argos are selling the Home and Student edition for(£100)!!
Just ordered my copy, hope I haven't been blagged!?!
Good Luckx

Importantly, you're only eligible to buy this if you're a student or are a family member of a student.

This sounds very much like The Ultimate Steal which microsoft offer.

    http://www.microsoft.com/student/discounts/theultimatesteal-uk/default.aspx

It has everything which is offered in the OP offer except Communicator 2007 (which i've never heard of personally?). Again this is for students and staff who work in an education institution - so basically anyone who has a .ac.uk email address.

I brought this last year, and never looked backed. However if anyone is upgrading from older versions of office, the new layout may be a bit of a shock and take some getting used to!

  • Although I have been quite happy with Office 2003 our childrens' School has upgraded all of their computers to Office 2007 so it really helps them having the same version to use at home. I almost bought Office Professional 2007 on ebay for over £100 then found this unbelievable offer at, http://www.software4students.co.uk/Microsoft_Office_Enterprise_2007-details.aspx

    It contains the following programmes:

    - Microsoft Office Excel 2007
    - Microsoft Office Word 2007
    - Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
    - Microsoft Office Groove 2007
    - Microsoft Office Access 2007
    - Microsoft Office Communicator 2007
    - Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
    - Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007
    - Microsoft Office OneNote 2007
    - Microsoft Office Publisher 2007

This is a much more comprehensive package than Office Professional 2007.

It comes with 2 licences and came in the post within 2 days and has installed perfectly on our 2 computers.:j

I have told 7 friends about it and all of them are buying it too.

It says you need to be a student or have a family member who is at School/College/University. When ordering you are asked the name of the Student and the name of their School Etc. Although with the Data Protection Act I don't know how this can ever be verified.

The offer is only available until 31st October and is recommended on the Microsoft Website, http://www.microsoft.com/uk/education/students/promotions/default.aspx

If you are thinking of upgradaing to Office 2007, you will not find a better offer than this.:j
IF THIS POST HAS BEEN HELPFUL - PLEASE CLICK ON THANKS :j

Whilst this is a fantastic offer, i believe it does require you to have a valid ac.uk email address!

  • If you are actually a student you should go direct to your University's IT Services - we got our copy about 3 weeks ago for £15 from IT at Lancaster University (Wife is staff member there).
Not sure if that is a faculty member price or available to students only.

Hi I bought this some time ago. It's fine and legit (Microsoft actually link to this website, I can't be bothered to look for the link).

Also, you do not need an ac.uk email address, anyone in education is eligible from nursery upwards - I believe the license details are on the website. I had to put in my daughters name, and choose the playgroup she goes to from a drop down.

And I think it allows you to install on two machines. Hope this helps.

That's excellent - it is £45 at my University which is why I bought it at software4students myself! What's annoying is I have friends at Lancaster and might have saved a few quid! But I'd agree, check at your own university first. At our end it is the same price for students and staff.

They are pretty inclusive about the family of 'student' stuff - the site stresses it includes grandparents, for example. I think 'family' of student at school, college or university would cover a large percentage of people without having to fib!

However, that's for the Microsoft software - I noticed Adobe were much more strict and you had to send proof of your status to validate the software.

    No ac.uk email address required.
  • I have purchased this previously from software4students and they give excellent services and prices. The only difference is you get less packaging.

You do not need an educational email address, you only need to be a student or have children in education

This is marvellous, thank you. I produce the newsletter for my son's pre-school and have been limited to using Publisher 98 on my old PC which will not load on my laptop with Vista. Now I can use my laptop instead.
