Help two XP installed

My Laptop has 2 XP installed, The oldest is faulty, so I had the second, my problem is How I can get rid off the faulty one, because takes space in the Hard disc.
When I start, shows the two, then I click the new wich is at the top.
Anyone can give some advice

Using fixboot and fixmbr should sort out the multiple OS option each time you boot.

Then you can just delete the defective windows directory. You could just delete it without fixing the boot loader too.0 -

Edit the Boot.ini File
To view and edit the Boot.ini file:- Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. -or-
Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK. - On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
- Under System Startup, click Edit
- Highlight entry to be removed
- Delete
