I would contact the FSCS and ask them , with mine (another company) over a year ago) I dealt with mine directly with the FSCS, but if the FOS are automatically passing over the details themselves, it maybe well worth you giving them a ring and ask what happens now.
The FSCS normally passes the case over to a company called Deloitte, they review the information, once done and they have all the details, they will work out the calculations, pass back to the FSCS for checking, then the cheque payments will be issued.
So the timing of it is difficult to say, but contact the FSCS for regulat updates.

Rang the fscs today to ask if they have recieved my file from FOS.
the guy said its not been processed yet but after explaining my situation he would send out a form in the next week so i could get my claim in ready to minimise any wait.

and on another note check out the bank charge reclaim success post for the good fortune i had from halifax today!

hopefully im on a winning streak and my money worries will ease considerably soon!!

Got claim form from FSCS this morning. Filled it in and sent it with all correspondance from freedom/wilmslow and FOS to Deloitte. they are aiming to resolve all claims within 6 months. Ringing them tomoro to let them know im having financial difficulties at present. Hoping they have same view as FOS did and uphold it. Money would be useful right now.

Letter back today dated the 6th september from Deloitte saying they have recieved my application and intial reviews have now been completed and they will begin processing my claim shortly, contacting me if they need any further information.
I had already rung Deloitte yesterday and the guy said they were waiting for paragon to send them interest figures and any other info. It could take up to a month but he was hopeful it would be sooner.
Should i take this as succesful and just waiting for final tie ups? Does it mean my long wait is almost over eith a happy ending? My bills paid and i can raise a huge glass to all of you on this site for all your help and support?

I took out a loan with feedom finance and had ppi. I have found that I am now paying ge money because freedom finance have gone bust so I contacted ge money and they told me to contact freedom finance but seen as they have gone bust I don't now what to do any ideas?

you can try the FSCS if it was sold after 2005
