Hi,
I recently bought a Dell 1300 laptop and discovered that getting hold of a Firewire Expresscard to do some video work looks like mission impossible! Does anyone know where I can get hold of a card in the UK or when they look as though they will be coming available? The guys at PC World and Maplins didn't seem to have a clue!
Many thanks

Hi ScoOter,
A lot of the new Dell portable systems (including the 1300 I have just bought) no longer have a PCMCIA slot, they now have an ExpressCard slot in it's place. The new cards are more of a kind of an 'L' shape. It's this new card I need in order to plug in my firewire connected to my Camcorder. I just can't seem to find anyone selling them! Any idea's?:beer:0 -

Hi Mike,
Yes thats the one many thanks, but it's another US company, so not sure if they will ship (and at what cost). They also don't take online orders but I will try them on their e mail. Would still like to track down a UK company selling them if possible, so if anyone else has already got one or seen them please reply.:beer:0 -
