Won tickets to Radio 1's Big Weekend Dundee

Can't remember who initially posted the link to the competition but thanks whoever it was.

Was one of the lucky ones that received tickets today.

Anybody know of any camp sites or B&B's in Dundee.

Only problem is the clash with Saturdays cup final!!!

Should be a good time nonetheless.

    Hi Everyone

For all those who had the luck to gain tickets, but cannot attend the event.

Would you please offer them FREELY to an individual who resides in Dundee and who also logged onto the Radio One site but wasnt fortunate enough to win a pair.

These tickets are FREE and should reservedly be given away freely to those who want to attend the event...LIKE ME!!!!

Be the first kind, considerate individual and give your tickets freely to another individual and I shall send a big 'Thank You' card for your generosity.

    MAKE MY DAY!!!

I prefer tickets for the Sunday event, but either day will do.

    MANY THANKS!!

Bit confuzzzled, is this gig only for people who live in Dundee??!
Just been checking out eBay and there seems to be a huge number of annoyed people as they live in Dundee and didn't win tickets.. As far I as understood it, the gig is to be held there not exclusive to people who live there? :rotfl:

    Anyway well done SavvySteve!!

I live in Northumberland so tickets are not exclusively for people from Dundee. This was posted on the Radio 1 website:

I'm hearing a lot of rumours about tickets. What is the truth?

    Here are the facts:
    • 85% of the tickets were sent to people in Scotland

    • Of these half were sent to people in the Dundee area

    • Tickets were mailed out first class on Friday 5 May and Saturday 6 May by our ticket agency who are one of the biggest ticket agencies in the country with a lot of experience of events like this

    • 300,000 people applied for tickets. We sent out 14,000 pairs. That sadly means 286,000 people were unlucky

    • A further 1,000 pairs were kept back. Most of these were for Radio 1 competitions. Others have been given to local partners who are working on the festival with us for their own competitions.

Looks like I was one of the fortunate 15% in England

No the tickets arent exclusive to Dundee. Im just asking everyone that cannot attend for whatever reason to pass them on to someone esle. Sticking them on ebay as its turned out has resulted in them being falsely bidded upon therefore left any little chance of any of us trying to get any. So rather than have them wasted, pass them on for a price. pm me if you can would like to.
