We booked our honeymoon yesterday!
It's not anything extravagant, we're going back to Lanzarote!
We've been on our own in 2007 and we went with the kids too in 2008, but we really wanted to go back and do a tour of the Island so we couldn't turn it down really as it was a bargain!
We get married on the Saturday and we fly out on the Monday afternoon ~ can't wait!
(Although I don't know how I'll get on being away from the baby for a week)

Wellllll, we were meant to be going on a fortnights family holiday this July, all booked and almost paid for.
But we may be moving in the next few weeks, so with that, plus the holiday plus the wedding, we had a rethink and now we're changing the holiday to just a week, which means we will save over a grand and that's how come we booked the honeymoon, which is only £550.
They only wanted £100 deposit, with the balance to be paid by the 9th August, so that is doable for us!
We booked with Monarch holidays if anyone is interested xTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Ooh would you PM me the sellers name please hun? It's just what I'm looking for!
With regards to the baby, I know he will be in very safe hands (my Dads taking the time off work to have him) but I'd hate the thought of ringing home to see if the kids are OK and listening to him cry in the background (for whatever reason) cos I'd just want to give him a squidgey cuddle right there and then!
BUT if we don't go away on our own for a honeymoon, it will be years before we get chance to go away alone again, so we thought we may aswell go for it! xTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

dont ring then!!text for updates best way forward.. I tend to go away when leaving kids and forget all about them and know if anything is wrong i will be contacted.. I am often called a heartless mum by my friends but i know the kids are in safe hands or they wouldnt be left anyway

Oooh no, I'd need to speak to them daily, they will be 14, 12 and 17 months and I would need to see how their day was and tell them good night/love you etc etc. I was the same when we went away in 2007.
I even speak to my Dad every day, I'm just a worrier and like to know everyone is safe and soundTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
