I am 42 and want to start putting money away for a rainy day, i have a very small pension to come when im 55 but am not paying into a pension at the moment as im self employed. I want to put away between £100 and £200 a month to start and then add more in a few years time.I dont know if its best to put into a private pension , or Isa or savings account . Could you advise what are my best options are pls.

I think it depends largely on when you hope to retire, and how long you wish to pay in for. I found this link, but would certainly recommend consulting an IFA.
