Calling any wireless router users!

Sorry to post another wireless question, but none of the other threads cover my issue.

I am a virgin.net broadband user, and they have emailed me the settings
that are supposed to work to set up my D-Link router but i just can't get it to work.
Has anybody successfully connected their router with Virgin?
Im desperate :(
Thanks in advance
Laurie

ok, well I managed to set it up at last :D
But now whenever I try and connect to wireless it just stays on the window "waiting for the network to be ready"
    Any clues?

Hiya ideally both, but at the moment, just to share internet connection.
I can see the connection, but it just stays at "waiting for the network" when I try to connect. (im using WPA PSK if it makes a difference)
    Thanks

ok thanks Chippy ive trid all that, still no joy :-(

@murk11 I can connect with WIFI on my laptop if i disable WPA and go for no encryption. Meaning the obvious would be the wpa key is incorrect, however, ive copied and pasted this and it still doesnt work.

ive got a little bit futher. I stopped the software that comes with the laptop to connect to wireless and so only Windows wireless Zero thing is running.
It now gets a little futher :
    It shows
    aquiring network address
    then goes back to
Waiting for the network to be ready
    And then gives up :-(
Ive tried no encryption, and that isnt working either!
This is the same problem with my work router and home router (Work's is across the road and I get coverage in my home)
It MUST surely be a setting with the routers?!
    Thanks
    Laurie
