Hi, I'm with tesco at the moment but decided to switch to toucan for the £10 initial credit, but now that I've filled in the application, do I need to let Tesco know that we are leaving or will Toucan do all that themselves??

Toucan will do that for you. It will take at least 14 days and you should get a letter from both Toucan and Tesco informing you of when you your calls will be switched over.0

No, your new CPS provider should now do what's necessary.
You should receive a "Sorry you're leaving" letter from Tesco and a "Welcome" letter from Toucan.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Are you aware of Toucan One Minute Billing and 3p connection charges to call 0845/0870 numbers.
You could end up paying more then what your paying now and wipe out the £10 credit.
If you want to really save some money have you considered MSE advice

I'm only ever home after 6pm weekdays so I've gone for £3.75 offer - then I'll switch after a month or so or when the credit runs low. Not efficient I know but hey I'm happy to keep hopping from company to company
Cheers people, much appreciated - I'm always nervous about these things since TalkTalk continued to charge me for my CPS though I'd been with Just Dial for at least two months. Mysteriously I never received a "sorry you're leaving" letter  A threat to contact the useless and ineffective regulator soon made them back down and refund the payments. :cool:0
