  • My OH is being a pr**k tonight . I can't rise above it; I'm pi**ed and I don't care. I don't have any AF days to report for Oct yet but I will do my 10 I promise.
Why when I'm unhappy, bored, tired, stressed etc does a glass of wine (or three or four) seem the answer but also when things are going well I reward myself with booze?

    January AF target 15 days - 6/15
  • No AFD for me :( Bit disappointed in myself as I had the perfect reason not to drink, (I'm working tomorrow) but it was always going to be unlikely as it's a Friday night and my whole group of friends always go for a drink.

Having said that, I have had a couple but I don't feel at all sickly like I usually do, but it seems to have gone to my head more. I'm hoping because I don't feel sickly that it won't go to my stomach and make me feel like rubbish in the morning.

Hi Su....sounds like the alcohol is more like habit than necessity. Maybe try a AF drink in a wine glass....odd but you then you have a glass in your hand to confuse your brain....if that makes sense. Seems to work for me.

Good luck on the 10 AFDs :j

Hi....(why do I always think your username says fake-plastic-wee....:o:o:o:D:D)

Don`t be disappointed...actually you are thinking about being AF & thats a great step from just drinking without a second thought. Good luck in October.

Off to work magic with the spreadsheets and come up with the total WONGA saved

Needing more figures from folks to up me totals for the wonga........

    Wannabefree

I can't (might not have asked you......) to find out your figure for daily spends on Alkofrol (if indeed you want it included) can you poke me in the eye with a sharp stick and remind me again (you've probably posted it but I have missed it - I will look back later on anyway :)

I haven't posted as I dropped off the thread for the last month quite a lot. I spend a fiver a day on wine. So if I do 12 day's that's £60. Cool. Thanks for thinking of putting it into those terms and also the gold stars as I luuurve them very much.

I had wine last night. Actually I paid £6.99 for that one because I bought it at an expensive corner shop near my friends.

Off to try and get some sleep. Or read more on here, whichever.

Feel a bit better today, thanks HB!

Well it is my birthday today and what to do? AF or NAF?

Did buy some wine yesterday to drink tonight but I don't have to do this.

Better see how my tummy is tonight

    In 2 minds about drinking.

AF last night and feels nice to be not groggy this morning after an early night last night.

Have a good Saturday everyone and I'll catch up with you later on!

3rd day AF for me today - £15.

I'm going to take Kudzu about 3 or 4pm as that seemed to work for me yesterday.

It seems like a lot of people are missing from here, do you think they have got lost with the move! :(

  • Morning All,
only another 3 units for me last night - so still on target :j

Off to farmers market in a little while for a nose round , then home to light the woodburner as its turned windy and cold all of a sudden  ...... Autumn is here!

Brand new phone line being fitted Tuesday and then applying for a new broadband connection on it so hopefully in a fortnight we can be rid of this horrible talktalk connection that doesn't work properly any more! (Talktalk 18 month contract runs out in early November so will have both until then !)

    Best wishes
    Have a great weekend everyone

I only saw the thread had been moved because it had just happened and was still on the top page of the other board and said where it had moved to, by now people will have to scroll tons of pages to find it, I never subscribed to it because it's always up on the top 2. Not good :(
