Hi fay, I'm still up!! What should I look out for on Big Yin's travels? Any landmarks you see every day? I don't really have a picture of Orkney in my head as all I can recall is your garden and you saying about a carol service in the cathedral.
How's the work going?0 -
10 for me too please HB.:j
Off to bed & to will catch up on reading this weekends pages ! gosh how many pages!!0 -
anyone still up - on Dave at the moment - Billy collony has just left Orkney and gone to Shetland
Its on Dave deja vu again starting at midnight - again with the Orkney bit on -
Oh fay I now have pictures of you dancing round the standing stones  but at least you'd be wearing your stripey socks!
Orkney looks idyllic but very windy! I'd love to visit but as a confirmed townie it might be hard to live there. How d'you cope when you visit cities?0 -

Well I always wear a pigtails (lets leave it at that) - its idyllic most of the time, but yeah it can be windy!
I loved Billy's comment about putting the kids on strings when out in the wind - or letting them take off and see where they land!
How do I cope in cities - there's so much in them that I don't normally experience (ie trees, a lack of wind, chain restaurants, SHOPS!) that if I'm in a city I do enjoy it for a bit - but to be hoenst the worst thing I find about cities (aside how dirty they are) is how rude people can be.
I know it sounds stupid but humans acknowledge each others existence here.
Work is MEH - but thanks for asking :A - I will hand in 'something' tomorrow - I've not seen outside my own front door this weekend - chained to a PC - I may NOT sleep tonight - and what ever I do it wont be 'right' but hey ho - at least I can say I've tried!
PS oh yeah the other thing I like here is that alot of parking is free (even at the airport) - but when there are meters - the cost for an hour (I think or it might be less than that) is 30pTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Guys, I know I keep on about it but I'm so fed up of tidying up & finding more rodent evidence
I could cry...
Hi HB,
Are you allowed to fill the holes in yourself? The mice won't go, I don't think, until the holes are blocked. Do you know where the holes are?
Holes can be filled with foam filler.
You just squirt it at a hole and it fills the gap..You can get it at B&Q, Homebase, maybe Robert Dyas. Costs about £6.
I do feel really sorry for you:o. Hope that helps.

Morning all
HB - Sorry to hear you are still being visited. As Budgie says, really start badgering your landlord. They should be doing something about this. ((hugs))
GC - So glad to hear you would be up for the great AF meet!
Hollie - Welcome! Everyone here is so supportive.
BHB - As Budgie says, keep posting! We miss you when you're not around:D
10 for me please HB!
Has snowed a little bit overnight so no doubt Piglet will be wanting another snowball fight this morning . Must try and get some housework done today too - so I WILL be turning the pooter off!

Hey everyone, not managed to get on over the weekend but would like to report 3AFDS for me please! It has been a struggle not to pop to the corner shop for a bottle of wine and I almost succumbed last night but talked myself out of it, I am trying to lose weight for my holidays and how empty are those calories?!
I am snowed in again, getting so tedious! DD's school is closed again and DH only just managed to get to work this morning, there has been a massive queue of traffic down my road all morning, I am thankful I can just sit here and watch although I have cabin fever now!0
