The giving up/cutting down alcohol support thread! Part 5

Hi all.
I have never posted on this thread before but just spotted it and thought I would say hello.
I stopped drinking about 12 years ago apart from drinking at one party about three years ago. I was !!!!!! after the very first sip of champagne. I guess you could call it a good night at the time, but clearing up all the vomit on my bedroom floor next morning was not!
Anyway I just wanted to say that for me giving up alcohol was the best thing I ever did. I originally stopped because I was trying to quit smoking, and while the alcohol never posed a problem, I found it very hard to quit the cigs.
Anyway am currently free of both. I firmly believe for me that alcohol was a poison to my system (I tolerated nicotine better) and I cannot imagine ever being tempted to drink again but as they say never say never.
I suppose I am trying to say that life without alcohol for me has been such a liberating thing.
Good luck to you all.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Problem is, just remembered I got a mystery shop to do today  and it's in town, will take over an hour, will have to take kids  no time for housework now
I actually don't want to do the shop today, didn't want to leave the house except for a quick run in and out to Mr T's later
I can't believe I forgot about the MS, I only mentioned it on here last night  my brain cells are shot!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

I think the fact that you keep forgetting about it is pretty telling of the fact you don't want to do it!
