    Hi all.

I have never posted on this thread before but just spotted it and thought I would say hello.

I stopped drinking about 12 years ago apart from drinking at one party about three years ago. I was !!!!!! after the very first sip of champagne. I guess you could call it a good night at the time, but clearing up all the vomit on my bedroom floor next morning was not!

Anyway I just wanted to say that for me giving up alcohol was the best thing I ever did. I originally stopped because I was trying to quit smoking, and while the alcohol never posed a problem, I found it very hard to quit the cigs.

Anyway am currently free of both. I firmly believe for me that alcohol was a poison to my system (I tolerated nicotine better) and I cannot imagine ever being tempted to drink again but as they say never say never.

I suppose I am trying to say that life without alcohol for me has been such a liberating thing.

    Good luck to you all.

    Hmmmmm oh yeah housework

Problem is, just remembered I got a mystery shop to do today  and it's in town, will take over an hour, will have to take kids  no time for housework now

I actually don't want to do the shop today, didn't want to leave the house except for a quick run in and out to Mr T's later :(

I can't believe I forgot about the MS, I only mentioned it on here last night  my brain cells are shot!

Hey Larmy, great to have you posting on here! Well done on quitting the booze (and the fags :D). It's great to get feedback from others that have quit for so long and stayed quit, there is hope for all of us :)

Any tips you have would be gratefully received :)

    xx

I think the fact that you keep forgetting about it is pretty telling of the fact you don't want to do it! :p
