I installed incredimail a few months ago but left outlook ( in case I wanted to go back), still containing its old emails. I've decided now that I don't like incredimail and tried to switch back to outlook - thought it would be just the case of changing the default and deleting it.
But even though I changed the default, messages are still going to incredimail. I can receive messages sent to myself on outlook but others go straight to incredimail. I've looked at help pages on th net, but as my problem is self-inflicted it doesn't seem to crop up.
Has anyone been there and done that?

Incredimail is the spawn of the devil.
I installed it some years ago and had a terrible job getting rid of it.
If I remember correctly I did a search through all files and folders and deleted everyting that looked vaguely suspicious but hopefully one of the real Techies on the forum will be able to sort you out.
Good luck.0 -
thanks, guess I can look forward to getting rid then, but for now, even though it says it is not my default email, all messages are still going there. I daren't delete it until messages start to go to outlook in case I lose them completely!!
Any clever people?0 -

Totally agree my wife installed it a few years ago on her XP machine. It was a !!!!!! to remove. You'd think you got rid of it all then something would pop up.
Have a look HERE. I know of people who have just given up and reinstalled there OS instead0 -
ok, I know I should delete it, but when I've done that will my emails then go straight to outlook? And what if I don't totally eradicate it, what will happen to my emails then?
It already seems to ignore the default.0
