hi, i had a new upvc door and window fitted 18th august 09. £800.
the next day i noticed a bubble/lifting on the door. it had a bubble bigger than my fist, and also the upvc skin was coming away from the glazed unit in the door.
they ordered a replacement which was fitted on 11th sept.
but on 16th sept (yesterday) i noticed the skin coming away from the glass again on the exterior. its about 2 inch long and will let water into the actual door if it rains.
i actually went to the glazing merchants who fitted the door yesterday, they have passed it onto the company who manufactures there door panels, and said to expect a call off them.
what can i do please, im so frustrated and annoyed.all i want is a fault free product. i want the person i bought it off to sort it for me, not to be waiting for the door panel manufacturer to call me.
any helps appreciated so much.

What did the seller say when you told him that you didn't want to wait for a call from the manufacturer?
I would try and contact the manufacturer directly, rather than wait for them to call me. Depending on what they say depends on how I would take it further.0 -
Spoke to my father in law who makes double glazing for a living. It is either a badly made door or badly fitted. They may have put too much pressure on it when making it and the packing inside is then swelling back up to its natural level. If it is not reinforced it will contain polystyrene, if it is that will be contained in a wooden packing as well(I think that's right...). The other option is that the door frame is not true and instead of making the correct adjustment they are jamming it in which is putting pressure on the door. I don't know if you have bought a reinforced door or not (at £800 I would expect so) but at that cost they should make sure it is made and fitted correctly. If they cannot do that then ask for your money back. Hope this helps.0
