Thanks Scaredy, I decided just to have the veg, taties and a lump of cheese. Not a traditional combination, but it covered all food groups!
I'll put the beef in the slow cooker in the morning with some tinned tomatoes and spices. Would chick peas or spinach go with it? Not sure what else I've got to throw in.
Ames, i also cook the pots in the stew at the same time, i cut them into small wedges and put them on the top of the stew and the bits sticking out go crispy!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Back from work, will be collapsing in a heap soon. I want a shower first though. Have finally got Lloyds online banking sorted again, for what it's worth. It looks like you can only pay your card online (besides Direct Debit) if you have a Lloyds account, which I don't. So that was a waste of time. :mad:
