Thanks Scaredy, I decided just to have the veg, taties and a lump of cheese. Not a traditional combination, but it covered all food groups!

I'll put the beef in the slow cooker in the morning with some tinned tomatoes and spices. Would chick peas or spinach go with it? Not sure what else I've got to throw in.

Ames, i also cook the pots in the stew at the same time, i cut them into small wedges and put them on the top of the stew and the bits sticking out go crispy!

    Cat, that's annoying!

Thanks scaredy! I'm going to run down the freezer and cupboards first, then try getting more into slow cooking. Which reminds me, I need to list everything on OS.

No point in running if you feel rough sammy. Sounds like you've had a productive day anyway!

  • Back from work, will be collapsing in a heap soon. I want a shower first though. Have finally got Lloyds online banking sorted again, for what it's worth. It looks like you can only pay your card online (besides Direct Debit) if you have a Lloyds account, which I don't. So that was a waste of time.

Right, not sure who I have got to blame but someone on here mentioned Wispa Gold (a few times!) so of course I had to try one
