Thursday 17th Sept - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Good morning lovely DFWs!!
Sunny and bright here so going to walk to school and save some petrol;)
Feeling more awake today - I spent yesterday morning on sofa crashed out, must have needed it.
The Crohn's has been niggling again, but I can't get seen by the ****** hospital:mad: I had an 'urgent' scan on June 3rd....but no-one's tried to see me since to discuss the results and what to do next. Have rung and get fobbed off - appointments go out in early Oct....no rush then??!!
So, trying to rest when I can and hope it doesn't flare up like it did in March.
Anyway - hooray it's Thrusday, nearly the weekend:rotfl: Here's my list:

Morning Milly and all who follow - nice early start today :j
Well, more than half way through the week, thank goodness - talk about wish your life away
Still, I have a week's leave booked for a couple of weeks time; I haven't had a break for ages, having had to start new job straight from manic finishing off of last one  - I might feel differently after a bit of a break.
Today I have / will:
Check online banking (done)
See to animals and plants
Clean office shoes which look really grotty (in a minute)
HM meals from stores
Make the cake that I didn't feel like doing yesterday
Read free paper on train on way to work
Walk dog for free exercise this evening when I get back
Have a nice day everyone :hello:0 -
Morning All

Hello to everyone else who posts today. Hugs to those that need them.
Today I have/will:

• Meals from storecupboards
• Enter comps online
• Have an NSD - might have to have a medicinal coffee while I am in town (its going to be really busy at work)…didn’t have one yesterday, also didn’t have a NSD as I bought my Nan a wheelchair off eBay
• While I am on the internet catch up on yesterday’s forum
• Job hunt in the local library (free papers) and on the internet (at lunchtime)
• Also I will leave work on time today
• Put spare change in my coke bottle saving’s pot – I must have this filled by 2012.
Oh yeh, thanks for the reminder, I must sparkle too
Think that is about it…..have a great day everyone

Morning all,
Milly - that's a shame about the hospital. I suppose one thing is that if they had seen anything worrying on the results they would have contacted you by now. It's not much comfort though... Have you tried calling your GP and seeing if they can chase them up?
Well in terms of DFW, today is not going to be my best day. I'm going to see Billy Connolly in Edinburgh tonight!!!!!! :j:j:j
I am going to try however, I have put some money aside for the trip (we are just going down and back again in one evening) and I'm not going to spend any more than that. It's a nice feeling knowing that I have budgeted for it and that I don't have to worry about just sticking it on a card. I think this is the first time ever!
Apart from that my phone is charging at work, I had breakfast at home and last nights left over casserole is for lunch.
No gym last night or today because my torn ligament in my ankle has flared up again after running on Tuesday. Am hoping it will be okay for a yoga class tomorrow afternoon.
Right, must get on, have to leave work at 3pm to squeeze in a trip to ikea to take back a broken bookcase before the gig.
Hope everyone has a good day xxLBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
