How to prepare wiring for LED plinth lights in kitchen?

Hi,
I'm going to refit my kitchen with new units, and at the same time I would like to get LEDs fitted into the plinths, similar to some of these:

How would I go abouts preparing the wiring for the LEDs if I want them to come on at the same time as when I when I turn on the main light for the kitchen?
Is it just a simple case of connecting the LED wires to the light switch, or is it better to get the lights connected to an independent light switch?
Is this easy for the kitchen fitter to do, or should I get an electrician to do it?
Thanks

if i was you i would just wire them into a standard plug (assuming you have a plug down low hidden away for use) then put a timer switch on it. Led's costs so little to run it would take years and years to be able to recoup and lost money for having them on when you are not there0

If you are ripping out the kitchen then get an electrician to wire up a light switch to a plug mounted low down on the wall behind the cabinets. You can then switch it on and off to your heart's content.
Remember that if you have something like a double galley kitchen then you will need power to both sides.

If you need to ask this question then you are not really competent to do the work. You certainly do not wire them to the light switch.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
