Any such thing as a Wired (LAN) internet radio?

I just don't need to run it wirelessly.

I know? why don't i just buy a dab radio?
More choice if I go through the internet...

Closest ( & cheapest) thing I can see is this wireless internet radio.

    Yep, it's called a computer!

Seriously though, why does it have to be wireless? A wired one will need to be plugged into your interweb connection (i.e. router) so you may as well either use wireless or use the PC.

If your PC speakers aren't up to much, you can either plug it in to your TV/HIFI or buy a new set of speakers for it.

There is at least one wired version from Roberts, but with appropriate pricing. See WM201, for example.

Got one off ebay (for £40). Wireless but with an rj45. Means I don't need to switch a pc on to listen to my (global) radio stations which are pumped around the house via a good old fashioned amp.... just an updated tuner for the hi-fi.
  • I've got both the Roberts W201 and the Stream W202. I know this is a little excessive, but I am less than well at the moment so the listen-again facility is a great boon for me.
Internet radio is brillaint if you don't want to have your computer booted-up, although I wouldn't (and didn't) pay anything like high street prices for the two models I have. Both have an RJ45 socket and both allow you to select this by default - thereby disabling the wireless connection. Of the two, the 202 has the best menu, although the sound quality is infinitely better on the 201. Pure also do internet radios, but they tend to be wireless only. Anyway, get yourself online for some solid reviews of the models mentioned. Good Luck!
