What about from actual ford dealerships, any good prices about for the 2WD Kuga Zetec or Titanium?

I have not heard of drivethedeal before?

The best price I have had is £16,995 for a 2wd Zetec and £18,495 for a Zetec Titanium

Then there isn't much in it. Drive the Deal are a broker, you don't hand them any money. Once you agree to buy from them the Ford dealer they use will call you up and take a credit card deposit. Sometimes as I've found out once or twice it can be a local dealer! It seems that there's a gentlemans agreement where the dealer will quote you their lowest price as a retail customer, but there may be a lower price which they aren't allowed to mention if you go through a broker even though they may be the supplying dealer.

The difference of £16,995 at a local dealer compared to c£16,300 on Drive the Deal isn't that great. I think DTD do deliver to your door, but you will need to check. So you need to weigh up the cost of the car and possible collection from a distance.

My Mazda had a list of c£24k. The local dealer offered £1.2k off at first and then upped it to £1.5k. I went with Carfile because the price was £20,050. However I had to collect from the dealer in Stoke and paid £70 for one way car hire, £40 fuel, £65 for a Premier Inn and breakfast, and £40 fuel to drive the new car back. However the savings made far outweighed the cost and inconvenience.
